- Well at Shoebox Accounting, we now offer a scanning service that takes away all these issues.
We will send you a shoebox to keep all your receipts/bank statements/invoices in and at the end of every month, you simply place them in an envelope, and mail them to us.
We take them and using the lastest scanning technology produce pdf documents, but this is the good bit, the software also takes your receipts and places all the information in an excel spreadsheet, we then email you back your scanned receipts in the form of a pdf document and an excel spreadsheet that you can either import into your accounting package, or if you so wish, we can then take this information and pass it on to our sister company FTZ Accounts, who offer various levels of bookkeeping service.
So no more hanging on to boxes of files for the compulsory six years as required to do by HMRC as they accept scanned receipts in place of paper ones, thus leaving you better organised, and perhaps even more space in your office.
